While gamers anticipate the release of Half-Life Alyx, the latest installment of the Half-Life series, you can play all Half-Life games for free.
From today up until April, Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2 Episodes one and two, Half-Life: Source, Opposing Force, and Blue Shift are all free to play. While Steam is still displaying its price during a regular search, you can download and play the game by clicking on each game individually.
Unfortunately for the people who have been waiting for Half-Life 3 for over a decade, Half-Life: Alyx is a prequel to the story revolving around Gordon Freeman’s partner, Alyx Vance. The game is VR only, so to play, you’ll have to shell out more cash to get a VR headset like the HTC Vive or Valve’s own Valve Index.
