Fortnite’s Star Wars Map Leaks Ahead of Galactic Battle Season

Fortnite Chapter 6’s highly anticipated Season 3, Galactic Battle, arrives May 2, bringing a full Star Wars takeover of the island. To whet appetites ahead of the major update, Epic Games has released early images of three new Points of Interest (POIs) reimagined with iconic franchise flair—and dataminers have uncovered even more of what’s coming in this galaxy-spanning crossover.

Starting at the northeast, the shadowy Demon’s Dojo has vanished, replaced by a snowbound First Order Base complete with stormtrooper barracks and a TIE Fighter hangar. Adventurers can already spot the Imperial insignia on icy towers and behind frosted walls, promising high-tier loot in every crate. Meanwhile in the southwest, Shogun’s Solitude morphs into Vader Samurai’s Solitude, a fusion of feudal Japanese architecture and Darth Vader’s signature mask motif. Expect narrow bridges, katana racks, and hidden Sith lore scattered among the bamboo groves.

Down in the southeast, Hopeful Heights gives way to Outpost Enclave, a dusty desert settlement echoing Tatooine’s rocky dunes. Sand-blasted walls and moisture vaporators hint at hidden vaults and moisture-rich loot spawns. In social media teasers, fans spotted Jawas scuttling near repurposed AT-AT legs, while refurbishable droid parts appear in hidden caches.

Beyond map changes, Galactic Battle’s Battle Pass has already been detailed by dataminers and event coverage. Players can unlock skins for Emperor Palpatine, Mace Windu, Captain Phasma, Poe Dameron, The Mandalorian, and the surprise “Sith Jar Jar Binks” variant. Legendary cosmetics include dual lightsabers, each with color- and hilt-customization options, plus X-Wings and TIE Fighters as piloted vehicles for high-flying dogfights. Expect a “Force Lightning” emote and a Death Star Sabotage finale event, where Loopers band together to disable the Death Star’s superlaser in a live in-game cinematic.

In-game abilities borrow heavily from Star Wars lore. Early leaks reference Force Push for crowd control, Force Dash to traverse terrain in a blink, and a Holo-Communicator item for team revives. The new Giant-Size Brain Blast mode returns April 25, layering bobble-head cosmetics onto the Star Wars map for whimsical warm-ups before Season 3 goes live.

Epic’s commitment to a clean, non–live-service model continues. As in previous seasons, all new playable content, including Jobs and community events, will be free following launch. Only cosmetic items like character skins and wrap cosmetics will be purchased with V-Bucks, and there will be no daily login demands, no loot boxes, and no rotating store roster.

Galactic Battle lands just days before Star Wars Day on May 4, cementing Fortnite’s ongoing partnership with Disney that began in 2019. As players ready their pickaxes, they can look forward to further map tweaks through June 7 and beyond, as well as crossover-themed quests and limited-time modes that promise a season of epic battles across both desert dunes and snowy outposts.
