Exciting news is bubbling up for Fortnite fans, especially those who have fond memories of the game’s earlier days. According to reliable leakers, the much-loved Fortnite OG mode is set to make a permanent return this December. If these leaks are correct, Fortnite fans will be treated to a monthly rotation of every Chapter 1 season, from Season 1 through 10, alongside fresh new content.

This revelation follows the launch of Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix on November 2, which brought the return of the Chapter 2 map. As part of the Remix event, certain areas of the map have been themed after iconic rap artists like Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Ice Spice, and Juice WRLD. Players can level up the new Remix Pass by earning XP across various Fortnite modes, thanks to updated battle pass progression systems. But while the Remix has been a hit, many fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of Fortnite OG, a mode that had massive success when it was reintroduced in 2023.

Leakers HYPEX and ShiinaBR have both confirmed that Fortnite OG is set to make its return as a permanent fixture. If the leaks hold true, each season of Chapter 1 will return on a monthly basis, running consecutively from December 2024 through September 2025. Only OG loot will be available in the returning mode, which will be available in both the Build and Zero Build variants of Fortnite OG. There’s also talk of new content being added as part of the seasonal rotation, though specifics have yet to be revealed.

A reveal trailer for the mode’s return could drop as soon as the Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix Finale event on November 30, though it could also coincide with The Game Awards 2024 on December 12, which would bring even more attention to the announcement. In addition, there are reports of at least eight other Fortnite modes in the works, so it looks like Fortnite fans can expect a lot of exciting new updates in the near future.

Once the Chapter 2 Remix event wraps up, changes will continue in Fortnite starting December 1. Players can look forward to Music and LEGO Passes that feature both free and premium rewards, and they’ll be able to claim rewards in any order, thanks to an auto-claim feature. Epic Games has also teased an easier way for players to purchase all premium passes at once, or to buy rewards individually. So, it seems like December is shaping up to be a big month for Fortnite fans, especially with the possible return of the OG mode!
