Xbox Expands ‘Stream Your Own Game’ to All Game Pass Ultimate Subscribers

Microsoft has officially rolled out its “Stream Your Own Game” feature to all Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members, marking a significant expansion in its cloud gaming offerings. This update allows subscribers to stream select Xbox titles they own, even if those games aren’t part of the Game Pass library, directly to various devices without the need for downloads or installations.

Initially introduced in November 2024 for Xbox Insiders, the feature underwent testing phases before its broader release on April 16, 2025. Now, all Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can access this functionality, enabling them to play their purchased games on devices such as Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Windows PCs, Android and iOS smartphones, Amazon Fire TVs, and Meta Quest VR headsets.

This development is particularly beneficial for gamers using older hardware. For instance, Xbox One users can now stream newer, graphically intensive titles like Baldur’s Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077, and Final Fantasy XIV without the limitations of their console’s hardware. The streaming service operates through Xbox Cloud Gaming, which requires a stable internet connection with at least 20 Mbps download speed over Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi for optimal performance.

As of now, over 125 games support the “Stream Your Own Game” feature, with more titles expected to be added in the coming months. This expansion not only enhances the value proposition of the $19.99/month Game Pass Ultimate subscription but also aligns with Microsoft’s vision of making Xbox gaming accessible across a wide range of devices.
