Blizzard Entertainment is giving Diablo 4 players a chance to experience its first major expansion, Vessel of Hatred, for free from January 21 to January 28, 2025. This free trial is available across all platforms, allowing both new and returning players to dive into the action-packed dark fantasy world of Sanctuary.
The Vessel of Hatred expansion, released in October 2024, introduces a brand-new region, a new playable class, and new dungeons. Here’s what players can expect:
Players can also participate in Diablo 4’s latest Season 7, titled the Season of Witchcraft, which runs alongside the free trial. This season introduces new magical abilities, a mysterious coven of witches, and unique seasonal rewards, including special attacks like summoning a poisonous frog or a deadly Piranhado.
One of the best parts of this free trial is that any progress made during the event will carry over if players decide to purchase the game. Blizzard is also offering up to 40% off on Diablo 4, Vessel of Hatred, and the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions, which include extra perks like exclusive mounts and pets.
Since its launch, Diablo 4 has continued to expand, drawing in over 55,000 concurrent Steam players with the release of Vessel of Hatred. Blizzard’s move to offer a free trial suggests an effort to bring more players into the game’s evolving world.
For those who have yet to try Diablo 4 or are on the fence about purchasing the expansion, this one-week free trial is the perfect opportunity to test out the game’s latest content before committing. Don’t miss out—trial ends on January 28 at 10:00 AM PT!
